Dog Balloon Silicone Mold for Resin

Here's how to make a balloon dog with epoxy resin. All you need is this silicone mold.

The mold makes resin dogs 1 3/4 inches long and tall by 3/4 inches wide. The mold is split at the bottom to help you include fun things like flowers.

Your resin sculpture will look cute on a desk or shelf. You can also drill the dog to include keychain hardware.

Using resin in this dog balloon silicone mold only takes three steps:

Step 1: Add clear packing tape around the bottom to bring the edges together.

Step 2:  Mixing and pouring a casting resin into the mold opening.

Step 3:  After drying, peeling the silicone mold away while grabbing the epoxy edge. Make demolding easy by adding soapy water to the mold and cured resin.

To protect your silicone mold against microtears, use mist with mold release before filling with epoxy.
