Create Kawaii style resin shaker pendants with this selection of silicone shaker pendant molds. You can also make cute resin keychains and locker magnets. It all starts with clear and glitter!
Pendants vary in size from 1 1/2 inches to 2 1/2 inches wide and tall. All will be 3/8 inches deep with a 1/4 inch recess to add your shaker fluid and inserts.
The flexible silicone means you can use this mold again and again. Because you can see through this silicone, you can find those dreaded bubbles before your resin begins curing.
How do you use these silicone shaker pendant molds to make resin pendants?
Step 1: Measure and mix a clear casting resin specially made for molds, like the Resin Obsession super clear resin.
Step 2: Add resin colors if desired before pouring into the mold.
Step 3: After demolding, flip the charm over and cut a piece of transparency film with an 1/8 inch border beyond the recess opening.
Step 4. Fill your opening with charms, beads, or glitter. Then, glue the transparency film to the opening with super clear or mixed epoxy resin. Make sure it is completely sealed shut.
Step 5. Use an oiler bottle to fit through the cast in place hole. Fill the space with mineral oil, baby oil or glycerin.
Step 6: Fill the open hole with super glue to seal the pendant shut.
Step 7: Glue a jewelry bail to the charm with E6000 to make it wearable!
For easier demolding, apply a light application of resin silicone mold release to the mold surface thirty minutes or more before filling with resin.
