Make sand dollar coaster designs with this silicone mold. It casts with a 1 mm recess of a sand dollar. Use paint to color the edge and highlight the detail that imprints in the resin while curing.
Coasters are approximately 3 7/8 inches wide and 1/4 inch deep.
Mix and match with other ocean-themed coaster molds to make a matched set.
Sample coaster was made with Resin Obsession deep pour epoxy, Resin Obsession transparent blue pigment and assorted glitters.
You can use this sand dollar coaster mold to make resin coasters. Even if you're new to resin.
Step 1. Mix a casting resin. Using this epoxy type is important to ensure your coasters won't bend with use.
Step 2. Color the resin with cool things like glitter, resin colors, or trinkets before adding to the mold.
Step 3. Once dry, peel the mold away from the cured resin coaster. Highlight the details with paint.
Pro tip: Use contrasting resin and paint colors to see the sand dollar design easier.
