How do you use this resin bead mold to make jewelry and memorial resin beads?
Step 1: Use a crystal-clear, jewelry resin.
Step 2: Make it special by using unique resin colors, ashes, hair or other sentimental items to make the beads unique.
Step 3: Once the resin is hard, push the mold from the back while grabbing the edge to release the finished resin beads.
For easy demolding, apply a light layer of resin mold release at least thirty minutes before use.
Sample resin beads are not included with bead mold purchase.
The beads from this mold come out extremely smooth. I only gave it 4 stars because it's difficult to get the resin into the molds. Although I'm not sure how this could be solved the lack of 5 stars just acknowledges that.
This mold is really good for making pandora style beads. After demolding the beads a little sanding so that the surface is symmetric. But they work for me
It’s not a bead with a hole at each end. It’s a bubble. Not what I thought.
I bought this with the idea that I would make beads to go with the other resin pieces I am making. It's a little tricky getting the resin into the mold, but I think with practice it will get easier. My first casting actually went really well and my beads came out perfectly. The second time, about half needed more resin, and the last time I used it, I had mixed pieces as well. Some I over poured to try and overcompensate to make sure I didn't have 1/2 full compartments, but now I will need to sand those down to make them usable. I don't use beads often, but I will continue to use this mold, especially if I have mixed more resin than I actually needed for other casts. I do like the wide hole, making it easy to use cording instead of jewelry wire.
Haven't had the chance to use this yet but looks to be of decent quality. Thank you.
