Our most popular heart mold! Heart mold 851 holds about 3/4 ounces of resin when completely filled. The heart castings will measure approximately 2" x 2" x 1/2" deep. Note: If you are trying to decide the difference between this mold and heart mold 887, heart mold 887 has a straight edge whereas heart mold 851 will produce castings with a curved edge.
How to Use Resin Molds: Remove any dust and particles from your reusable mold. Molds do not require mold release when casting with resin, however, it is strongly suggested. We recommend the use of Castin' Craft Mold Release and Conditioner. Protect your work area with freezer or wax paper. Treat mold with mold release and allow to dry. Place mold on a level surface and fill the cavities to just below the top. Once the pieces are cured, turn the tray over and press the center area of each piece while flexing to release the casting. Do not use sharp objects to demold your resin as you will scratch your mold. Be sure to also read our plastic resin mold care tips to ensure a long life for your molds.
Shape was perfect. I was able to remove my piece easily. I’m very happy with my purchase.
I am relatively new to this resin hobby and very intrigued by it. Hopefully, I will improve with practice (lol). Very satisfied with the purchase of molds from Resin Obsession. The order arrived early and everything was in the box. Really enjoyed the site and seeing the selection of molds. Also very impressed with Katherine's offer, in so many different ways, to help new-comers like myself.
These molds gave me the bestest little hearts, ever! They’re just deep enough to be able to add some crystals and gold leaf without being too big.
My only issue is not a problem with the product, but my poor arthritis riddled hands....plastic molds are super difficult for me to de mold, but honestly, the end result is worth a bit of struggle on my part.
You won’t be disappointed with this mold, for sure!
I love this mold! Works great with resin. No sticking... Quickly shipped. Love the RO people!
